Does the blue bird on the logo freak you out more than those in the Hitchcock movie? Maybe you have no idea what to write once on Twitter or you just don’t understand the point of using 280 characters to communicate to a faceless audience?  It’s true – at first glimpse Twitter can seem like a catchall for anything and everything under the sky. However, in this age of #fakenews, it is also a very important agent for social change, for information sharing and for community building. In this workshop we will explore how a Twitter network can be beneficial to you in your workday, how it can be used for morale building and how to collaborate with like-minded people (or even with those whose views are totally different). We will compare what it means to be an active Twitter community member versus a passive one.
Don’t have a Twitter account, but are curious to learn more? No problem! We will quickly go through the basics of setting yourself up on Twitter and how to have your account accurately reflect who you are. Already a Twitter aficionado? Follow @PROCEDE_QC or @claudiamaydeme on Twitter! This will be a hands-on workshop so bring your devices!
