Empathy has the capacity to transform individual lives for the better while helping to bring about positive social change in schools. According to the latest neuroscience research, 98% of people have the ability to empathize wired into their brains, so the good news is that almost everyone can learn to be more empathic.
In this workshop we will overview techniques, tools and strategies for fostering and assessing empathy in the classroom. Participants will come away with a better understanding of how success in the classroom depends less on learning materials, and more on what goes on inside and between the people in that learning environment.
